Deluge System

Product Category:Fire Fighting System

A deluge system is a fixed fire protection system in which the downstream piping is normally maintained dry. The deluge valve functions to distribute pressurized water to open-type nozzles or fire water monitors.

A deluge system can be activated by four design methods: hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, or manual release. Deluge systems can be customized to meet various safety design requirements and may incorporate two or more activation methods.
  • Deluge systems are deployed where special requirements demand rapid response with high-volume water flow.

Deluge systems are engineered based on protection requirements, pressure, and flow rate specifications. System control and monitoring are customized to meet customer requirements or specific design concepts. A wide range of materials and components are available to suit various environmental requirements.

    • Deluge valve materials: cast steel, nickel-aluminum bronze (NAB), and titanium
    • Deluge valve sizes: 3" to 12"
    • Suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel (CuNi) alloy, and titanium piping
    • Electric and/or pneumatic system activation
    • Electrical components and control panels suitable for hazardous (explosion-proof) areas
    • Skid-mounted or cabinet-type system configurations
    • Watertight, heated cabinets available
